Whirlwind of a week & Wolfhounds

Phew, now I've finally got chance to catch my breath I thought it was about time I updated you all on what myself and more importantly Steve have been doing for these last 10 days or so.

Let's start at the very beginning of our busy few days and our short but sweet trip to see Hayley Marie Tomlinson in Belper, Derbyshire. If you continue to follow this blog this won't be the last time Hayley is spoken of. Over the last couple of years of Steve's journey into dog photography Hayley has been a big part of it. From the outset when Hayley first contacted Steve to say he needed more Flatcoated Retriever pictures we knew she was someone who would always tell us what she thought, would support Steve's work and ultimately become a firm friend.

Our trip towards Scotland on Thursday 16th incorporated a brief stopover to see Hayley who introduced us to her job of looking after many, many Irish Wolfhounds. It certainly was heartwarming so see the relationship between Hayley and the Wolfhounds which I think is perfectly captured by Steve in the images attached.

I know Steve was happy to spend albeit a short time capturing some pictures of this new breed for him, and of course Thomas, Hayley's Flatcoated Retriever who hadnt read the sign over the door before he went in!! LOL. Despite not having long with the dogs Steve was satisfied with what he managed and is already thinking of new ideas for the next time he photographs them.

This was a great way to start the holiday and always good to catch up with Hayley...

Beautiful photographs you seem to capture the majestic essence of these dogs and their relationship with Hayley.
